Medium: Procreate (iPad)
About: One of the reasons I consistently choose to create fantasy characters is because I have more to work with. By this, I mean unnatural skin tones, hair colors, anatomy features like horns, tails, or wings. Something that was both fun and challenging to work with was the amount of lighting that radiated from her hair. Fire is meant to be bright, but I had to keep in mind that there would still be shadows on her face that help define her features. The process took longer than I thought because there was a lot of back and forth experimenting with the different brushes and colors that work best together for this piece. I was surprised to see the end result because this style is not something I’m used to, but had a lot of fun with.
